The mission of the J-K Heritage Foundation is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Kendrick, Juliaetta, and the surrounding areas; to collect and preserve historical data; to accurately chronicle the materials for dissemination and use of the citizens of our area; and to promote programs designed to raise public awareness of historical values and conditions.
The J-K Heritage Foundation was established in January 2009. As a 50l (c) (3) gifts to our historical society are tax deducible. Contributions from a variety of sources, have allowed our archives to include oral histories, pictures and documents. The following diversified project interests are represented in our historical collections: local post offices, schools, homes, businesses, the railroad, trams, ranch brands, cemeteries, organizations, the timber industry, churches and area events.
As a means to celebrating and further sharing our heritage the Foundation is working on multiple historical book publications as well as a web site. We appreciate any level of involvement and/or support. History shows us who we were, who we are and who we may become.
Monthly meetings occur at 3:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at the Fraternal Temple (Grange)
